Full International Event Postponed to Debut in 2011

Having now reviewed the BC Government's full requirements, TCW has decided that rushing a May 2010 debut for a full international event (five day, ~40 stage, ~500 kms, etc.) risks too many compromises. A compromised Targa debut onto the world stage is not what anyone in our team wants.

Thus May 22-27, 2011 will now be the debut of the five day Targa Canada West that our team can be proud to deliver. Our sincerest apologies are offered to those of you who have made plans around a five -day 2010 event. TCW is disappointed that our full International version won't debut within months of the 2010 Vancouver-Whistler 2010 Winter Olympics. However, even that fact has not dampened our intense sense of achievement in having the Provincial Government now on-board with us.

Our Rules and Regulations have been updated to reflect these date and other scoring changes.
