Targa Canada West Volunteer Newsletter
DECEMBER 2009 VOLUNTEER NEWSLETTER

Salutations

Once again, welcome aboard. We appreciate you signing up. Like any motorsport event, without volunteers, we'd be stuck in neutral!

Five Day to May 2011

Those of you that subscribe to the regular Targa Canada West newsletter will already know about our deferring the 5 day International Targa until May 22-27, 2011. Those that aren't signed up for the event newsletter should do so through this link: Targa Canada West Event Newsletter so that you don't miss any future developments.

One Day Bambina May 24, 2010

You may also already know that we are planning a one day Targa Bambina event on May 24, 2010. If you include the 2 day Knox Mountain Hillclimb event on May 22, and 23, that makes three days of motorsport to feast on around Kelowna over the Victoria Day long weekend of 2010.

Your Call to Action

We will need a substantial number of volunteers for the May 24, 2010 Bambina, so we are hoping you are still both available and interested. Check your schedules, as we will be in touch early in the New Year to assemble the needed teams.

Our goal is to be finished on May 24, 2010 by 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm at the latest. That way, volunteers and competitors from Vancouver, Victoria, Prince George, Seattle, Spokane, Calgary, and even Portland can sleep in their own beds that very night.

Seasons Greetings

As we move into winter, we think about Christmas, and family. Everyone at Targa Canada West is wishing all the best of the season to you and yours.

Of course, some people think of motorsport when they think winter. If any of you are taking in the Big White Winter Rally December 4th- 6th, 2009 we hope to see you there. Several of our team members will be available in the host lodge. We'd love to talk Targa, motorsport, or eggnog recipes with you.
